breakthrough was reached thanks to an Easydur patent consisting of an innovative hardness testing head with three-dimensional movement<\/h2>\n<p>All the features of the multi-slot head (surface cleaning, different indenters and auto-focus lenses) can now be exploited to the full, to perform hardness tests on the top and the sides, at any angle and even upside down, on parts of all sizes and itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>MAIN APPLICATIONS OF THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL HEAD HARDNESS TESTER<\/h2>\n<p>This system finds its perfect application in portal or semi-portal hardness testers with X, Y, and Z CNC axes that can be programmed to reach any test area.<\/p>\n<p>Each Easydur hardness tester is designed to the precise specifications of the customer. In case of the portal hardness testers, a solid structure capable of accommodating parts weighing tens of tonnes can be built without the slightest effort.<\/p>\n<p>Normally, when testing the hardness of small components, the most obvious solution for testing different areas is to turn the part. However, this can be a time-consuming and difficult operation when the part in question is a large forged piece.<\/p>\n<p>Once the part has been positioned and the desired position programmed, it will be a simple matter of pressing \u201cStart\u201d: a Brinell 10\/3000 hardness test inclusive of surface preparation and autofocus indentation reading will be completed in just 45
